Opposition critics say a promise to increase fees for legal aid lawyers does little to solve some of the keyproblems saddling the province's legal system.

New Democrat Howard Hampton says he's worried about how the government will pay
forbudget increases.

The province committed to a 40 per cent increase in lawyer fees over seven years, but says it's too early to tell what, if any, additional funding will be required.
