OPP-DRUG-BUSTS

Early in the OPP stopped two vehicles on Highway 17-A for speeding and ended up charging the occupants on a varietyof drug charges.

In one incident, a car was pulled over just after midnight.

Officers seized five grams of marijuana, 30 grams of cocaine, 280 dollars in cash and some drug paraphernalia.

29 year old Stephen Baker, and 19 year old David Spellman, both of Fort Frances have been
charged with possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking.

Man found dead at the Tower Motor Hotel

OPP are investigating the death of a 30 year old male at the Tower Motor Hotel in Kenora.

Hotel staff contacted police after they found a male deceased in his room.

Police and ambulance responded to the scene and the man was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

A post mortem is to be done in the next couple of days.

The Investigationn continues and his name has not been released.
