Gerry Cariou is the executive director of Sunset Country and says there wasn't much in the way of growth compared to last year.
On the bright side, he does say they did see some improvement in border crossings with fewer complaints in 2011.
Cariou adds that the sluggish American economy continues to be a drag on the tourism industry in northwestern Ontario.
