A northwestern Ontario MPP is trying to expand the bear hunt in the north.Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro has introduced a private members bill at Queens Park.
Mauro says the bill is aimed at reducing the nuisance bear population, and could include the re-introduction of the spring bear hunt.
Mauro hopes other parties support his proposal so it can pass into law.
