Transit Commission looks to overhaul bus routes

Kenora's Transit Commission is planning to meet at the end of the month and decide if and how bus routes should be changed.

Some routes have very low ridership and cost a lot of money to operate.

Councillor Charito Drinkwalter says the Transit Commission will base their decision on a ridership survey that was carried earlier this year.

The Lakeside route is being under-utilized and costs four times more to operate than the Keewatin bus route.
