Kenora Hydro has asked for, and received an 8 percent increase in its rates.The Ontario Energy Board approved the rate increase earlier this week.
President and CEO of Kenora Hydro, Dave Sinclair says they had submitted their request for the increase way back in November.
For the average homeowner, electricity rates will be going up about eight dollars a month.
