Thistles end regular season on a losing note

The Kenora Triple "a" Midget Thistles go into the play-offs this week on a
five game losing streak.

The Thistles dropped both of their games over the weekend.

They were blanked 2-0 by the Winnipeg Thrasher Friday and 5-2 by
the Eastman Selects on Saturday.

The Thistles will meet up with the Selects starting Thursday in Beausejour
in game one of their preliminary round play-off series.

Meanwhile, Beaver Brae's girls hockey team has clinched first place in the
NorWOSSA double "a" hockey league.

The Broncos came back from a three goal deficit, to beat Fort Frances 5-3.

Meanwhile, the Thomas Aquinas girls hockey team continues to roll along,
beating Dryden 3-1.
