A good start to the new year for the Kenora Triple A midget Thistles.The Thistles were in Steinbach on Sunday and edged the Eastman Selects
2-1 in their first game of 2011.
Bowen Alcock and Dustin Taylor scored in the third period to lead the Kenora midgets to victory.
Their next game is this Saturday on the road in Brandon.
