Broncos hand out Football Awards

Beaver Brae's football team may have bowed out in the quarter-finals of the Winnipeg High School Football League, but the team still had a lot to celebrate at its annual awards banquet last night.

Riley Higens and Billy Kitt shared the Pete Fair Memorial Award for their contributions to the team this year.

The team's nominees for the league awards were also announced, with Dannon Saunders the choice for lineman of the year.

Scott Morgan is nominee for Offensive Player of the Year, while Hudson Boucha is the Broncos nominee for Rookie of the Year.

The league awards will be presented next week in Winnipeg.
