The City of Kenora is spending over a million dollars on a new UV disinfection system at the Sewage Treatment Plant.
Operations Chair Dave McCann says they're buying the new system because it will be mandatory starting in December.
Kenora chose Aranson Contracting to install the Trojan UV system.
The Federal Government is banning the use of cholorine waste water treatment systems.
