Grandparent Scam Dryden

Dryden Police are disheartened to learn that a local resident has fallen victim to a scam targeting seniors.

Police say a grandparent receives a phone call from a con-artist claiming to be one of the grandchildren.

The caller goes on to say they are in some kind of trouble and need money immediately and don't want anyone else to know.

A local senior lost a large sum of money in this scam and Police ask that you contact other family members to confirm the whereabouts of any relative before sending cash.
