Kenora District Services Board Budget
The Kenora District Services Board has requested a one percent cut in the 2010 budget.
The board met yesterday to go over the finances.
Chair of the DSSAB, Rory McMillan says more and more municipalities expressed concern with the level of spending on social services.
McMillan says a one percent cut would amount to about 130 thousand dollars, but any reduction could result in less money from the provincial government as well.

John Albanese NWHU Board Chair
Fort Frances councillor John Albanese has returned as Chair of the Northwestern Health Unit board.
Albanese has served in that capacity for the past six years, and says he wanted to remain as chair as the health unit seeks accreditation.
Albanese, a provincial appointee, says his election as chair also provides some continuity to the board in an election year for the municipal appointees.
