Campbell Raises Concern About Transit Report

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell would like residents of Northwestern Ontario speak up when its comes to funding public transit in the province.

Metrolinx has  released a report that suggests an increase in the price of gas by five cents a litre and a increase of the HST by one per cent.

This could effect all of Ontario. But the funding would only go towards public transportation in the GTA.

Cambell says residents in her riding  are concerned about the impact it would have on their personal finances.

An advisory panel will meet this month to look at options on funding public transportation across the province.
