The Ministry of Natural Resources is preparing for new forest fires the next couple of days.Warm and sometimes stormy conditions are in the forecast and the MNR says the fire hazard will likely increase.
It was a fairly quiet weekend for crews with 4
new fires across the region.
New starts were reported in Dryden, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.
15 fires continue to burn and cause no concern.
