Council Defeats Motion on Railway Street Speed Limit

City council has defeated the motion to reduce the speed limit on Railway Street.

Council split the vote to change the speed limit to 40 kilometers an hour.

Councillor Sharon Smith voted in favour of the resolution and says the issue isn;t going away.

 However Councillor Ron Lunny voted against the motion because he feels businesses had their hands tied to sign a petition in favour of the move.
