Nothing but rave reviews for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board from a leading expert on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.Dr. Gideon Koren is the founder and director of the Motherisk Program and a professor at the University of Toronto and he visited the FASD classrooms at Open Roads in Dryden and Sioux Mountain in Sioux Lookout.
Dr. Koren says there are only 2-programs of this kind in Ontario and four in Canada.
The Board is planning to expand the program next year in Keewatin Public School and the Madsen school in Red Lake.
