The Thomas Aquinas Saints boys hockey team was in Grand Rapids, Minnesota for the Star of the North Tournament.
The Saints went through the round-robin undefeated and met up with Elk River from Minneapolis in the tournament final.
Elk River Edged T.A. 3-2, giving the Saints the Silver medal for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, the Northwest Triple "a" PeeWee All-Stars skated into Brandon for the Tournament of
Champions.
The All-Stars also went through the round-robin undefeated, but played the host Brandon Wheat Kings
in the A-side final.
The Wheat Kings scored four quick goals to start the third period and went on to a 6-2 victory.
Nick Hakala and Mason Desautels scored for the Northwest All-Stars, which is a team made up of
players from Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances and Sioux Lookout.
