Police Arrest two in routine traffic stop

The OPP's fall seatbelt campaign is already paying dividends.

Police say they stopped a vehicle in Kenora on Wednesday for a seatbelt violation.

Officers noticed a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle and decided to investigate further.

In all, they seized 2 grams of marihuana, a small quantity of hash oil, $1800.00 in cash and 140 lbs of stolen copper wire.

20 year old Sebastien LaCasse of Quebec has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime
while Mathieu Hebert of Quebec has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a narcotic.
