The M.P. for the Kenora Riding says he supports his government's plan to
scrap the 2011 long form census.
A number of groups have written the government asking that the census
be carried out as normal.
Greg Rickford says he has concerns about the way the census is conducted
and the type of information that's being collected.
There are concerns that the response to a voluntary census will be very low among the poor, aboriginal communities and recent immigrants.
