Visitor Restrictions in Place at Hospital

There's been an outbreak of a gastro-intestinal illness at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Head of Patient Care Kathy Dawe says the outbreak was confirmed Sunday in the Second East ward.

She says a small number of patients and staff began to show some symptoms and as a result, a visitor ban for the ward has gone into effect.

The Hospital adds that if you are experiencing any gastro-intestinal or respiratory illness, you should refrain from visiting the hospital.
