Path of the Paddle is coming to Northwestern Ontario.
The project by the Trans Canada Trail organization aims to create a 900 km water trail from Thunder Bay to the Manitoba border.
The expected cost is less then $500,000.
The route has 5 segments that will require paddling groups and interested communities to maintain the waterways as trail stewards.
Community information sessions will be held in Kenora on July 10th at Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre from 10am-noon, in Atikokan on July 17th at the Economic Development Corporation from 9am-11am and in Dryden on July 25th at the Best Western Motor Inn from 4pm-6pm.
