The Kenora Rec. Center will be a hopping place once again this New Year's Eve.
The Kenora Rotary Club will be holding its 3rd annual Family night.
There will be free skating and swimming from 4:00 until 7:00 for everyone.
There will also be free sleigh rides from 4:00 until 6:00 outside the Rec. Center.

Kenora Lions Club
$67,000, that’s what this year’s annual Lions Club Christmas draw brought in.
Don Brown of the Lions Club says the tickets have been sold out for the last 5 consecutive years and he hopes 2012 will be no different.
Winners for the 2011 season include:
1st prize: Robert Gray (Dodge Journey or $28,000)
2nd prize: Murray MacDonald ($500 gift card to Safeway)
3rd prize: Dianne Little ($500 gift card for Canadian Tire)
The draw was held on Christmas day.

Legislative Agenda
Kenora M.P. Greg Rickford says he's proud of his government's track record this fall.
Rickford says while the opposition spent a lot of time talking about the conditions on the Attiwapiskatt First Nation, the government stayed focused on its legislative agenda.

Kenora mayor Dave Canfield believes the city is due for better times.
He says its important to put out the welcome mat for business.
Canfield says a lot of money has been spent on improving the city's infrastructure over the past few years and he feels that will pay dividends in the months ahead.

Chamber of Commerce Business Awards
There are a dozen awards up for grabs this year including: entrepreneur of the year, manager of the year, customer service excellence, hospitality, and new business of the year.
